The bridge lies in Western Himalayas subzone-7.
The catchment area of Som Nadi is 77.80 Sq. Km receiving 32 cm of rainfall with 100 years-24 hour return period.
The design discharge has been calculated by SUH method in accordance with subzone report-7 and is 1050.70 Cumecs.
